The Wolf Den Story: Built on Resilience and Straight Answers

It started with a dog. When I founded Wolf Spray Foam, the name was an easy call—inspired by Wolf, my Alaskan Malamute and Timber Wolf cross. Loyal, resilient, and built for rough conditions. Those were exactly the traits I wanted the business to run on.

We Kept Seeing the Same Mistake

Once Wolf Spray Foam was established as a trusted name in residential and commercial insulation, builders across BC started calling us in for a different job: spraying shipping containers.

Working inside those units taught me something the rest of the industry was getting wrong. Too many shops were still lining steel boxes with fibreglass batt insulation—the same material you’d use in a house wall. Steel sweats. Batt doesn’t stop that; it traps the moisture against the steel and holds it there. That’s not a minor flaw. That’s a slow-motion condensation and rust problem built into the job from day one.

Closed-cell spray foam was the only answer that actually held up: it seals the steel, kills condensation at the source, and controls the climate instead of just filling space. That gap—between what containers actually needed and what most shops were selling—is where our container division started.

Then I Tried Buying One Myself

The final push came from my own experience trying to buy a container the normal way. A broker wouldn’t let me inspect the unit before I paid for it. When the invoice showed up, there was a broker fee on it nobody had mentioned. No walkthrough, no transparency, and a bill that didn’t match the conversation.

That’s not how we run things.

What You See Is What You Get

Wolf Den Containers runs on one rule: come to our yard in Surrey, walk the container, open the doors, and check the welds yourself. The unit you inspect is the unit you take home. No blind purchases, no broker markups, and absolutely no surprises on the invoice.
